It is true that the skin color of the maca varies from milky white, yellow, brown, to purple and black. However, the internal part of maca is white or yellow. Scientific study has shown that there is no significant difference in the composition of substances. The evidence is available. The seeds of maca are sown indiscriminately so the maca is harvested all color mixed. Although one skin color roots can be separated, when they are processed into powder, the color remains the same as the others. Therefore it does not make any sense to say, ‘ this is a special maca morada’ species and better than any other’.

Is it true that the maca is officially adopted as space food by NASA?

.In the book about the maca written by a Peruvian agronomist there is a section in which he confirms that NASA is using maca products as space food, but according to our investigation, there is no such evidence.
